An untouched island, reimagined.

The Path Ahead

The holistic design of this island has been carefully envisioned to preserving both history and place. Treading lightly, the intention is a tapestry woven of natural open spaces as well as parks, streetscapes, gathering places, community buildings and private homes that both honor this history and one another. Real estate offerings are both homesteads and homes, large and small, private and intimately sited. Each of a character and intention suited to individual aspirations, but all contributing to a greater whole.

All around the Lowcountry there’s a sense that the bigger a community, the better. Our instincts were, not for Beaufort, not for this island, and certainly not for the ethos we aspire for Kane.

Life is a garden, not a road. We enter and exit through the same gate. Wandering, where we go matters less than what we notice.

― Kurt Vonnegut

Paths well travelled

As one studies the early blueprints for the path ahead, it is actually paths that beg the question… ‘shall I walk or bike to the docks, restaurant, pool or fitness. One might take a few invigorating circles around the island, or, across the bridge to Beaufort. Or a stroll to the marina and take the boat and tie up in town. Carefree is the order of the day.

As we consider the master plan, we strive to offer plenty of access to the edge of the marsh… physically as well as view corridors. We always take the best places on the property, and give them to everybody.

The First Release

The first and most rare opportunity to embrace the vision for Kane Island, indeed in all of Beaufort, are 16 new homesites, the largest and most idyllically sited on the island.
