The Life

well. well. well.

Kane Island offers an unscripted interpretation of amenities long overdue in the places we call home. Fortunately, it is one that already exists, encouraging immersive experiences where schedules and clocks are absent, saved perhaps for the tides.

"The earth is here so kind, that just tickle her with a hoe and she laughs with a harvest."

Once a thriving farm, Kane will always be a place to learn and grow, literally.

We led this life once on this island, and will again.

From peaceful morning walks along the river’s edge, to the things we aspire to in order to enjoy a life of wellness and true fulfillment – nature is ready with new agendas. There is magical fishing, countless places to walk, sit & reflect, or receive inspiration for songs, writing and art. Of course, there is fitness and nearby, golf. Kane is a place that inspires new rituals – learn to grow, to harvest, create your own dining experiences under the stars. Share your own music around a campfire, learn from an artist in residence, or celebrate with everyone at a community festival. Again, the past informs us.

Kayaks and paddleboards give you access to places that you're not going to get in a boat. They can go shallow. They can go in small skinny creeks, nooks and crannies draped by the oaks. Before long, you’ll find your own secret places.

WE’LL TELL OF A DAY ...

where we spoke to fish. And listened to a sunset. Where we threw caution to the wind and skinned a knee. We’ll tell tall tales about trivial moments, recount great glories, minor victories and an overdue surrender. We’ll laugh at our glorious failures, celebrate small perfections, share a bonfire by the shore, and wonder what stories we’ll be telling this time tomorrow. Such is the rhythm of Kane Island. And such are the moments, memories and legacies that are born here.

From the water we came,

to the water we go.

The dolphins are good neighbors. Along with spotted tail bass… redfish. Every kind of baitfish you can imagine, white ibis, white pelicans, life abounds. And it all changes as the seasons change. Everything's responding to the day, the weather, the sun, the season.

Out past Hilton Head

We have spectacular fishing out in the ocean, as well as, inside of the inlets. Tarpon, King mackerel. Dolphin, wahoo, tuna. All the bottom fish species are here. When you’re ready, our provisioners are as well.

What time is it?

We live by the tides… here some of the highest tidal ranges in the country – six to eight feet. People even start to identify as ‘high tide people’ or ‘low tide people.’ Every six hours the ecosystem shifts, crabs move, birds arrive, fish feed. Rhythm that becomes part of your life.
